We are incredibly proud to have organised and sponsored a number of professional CPD days and events in collaboration with the Landscape Institute South West and the Arboricultural Association. Our conference Even Ground – Design for Inclusion, was held at the beautiful Eden Project and brought together an impressive line-up of industry experts to share insight and experience around social inclusion in the built and natural environment.
Contributors included Make Space for Girls, Touchwood Play, Sensory Trust, disAbility Cornwall, and Jane Simpson Access, with discussions centred on the RIBA’s new Social Inclusion Layer within the RIBA Plan of Work.
Alongside this, we recently also hosted a Tree Canopy and Biodiversity Net Gain Day at the Old Bakery in Truro, welcoming local authorities, ecologists, and tree and landscape professionals from across the South West, as well as from London and the North East. Delivered in collaboration with Spalding Ecology and Evolve Trees, and supported by the Landscape Institute South West and the Arboricultural Association, the event created space for shared learning around canopy cover, BNG, and landscape resilience.
With huge thanks to Landscape Institute South West, Arb Association and A&G Paving for supporting these events and helping us champion inclusive, resilient, and people-centred design.
