St Andrew’s Gardens: Community Workshops to Shape New Space

March 18, 2026

St Andrew’s Gardens in Gravesend is set to be transformed through a redesign that places the community at its heart.

Drawing inspiration from the River Thames and the rich history of Gravesend, new artwork within the gardens will be shaped by local stories, ideas and experiences. The aim is to create a space that reflects the identity of the town and the people who use it.

As part of this process, Mei Loci is hosting a series of creative workshops, inviting local residents, groups and visitors to take part in shaping the future of the gardens. These sessions are an opportunity to share memories, explore ideas and contribute directly to artwork that will become a lasting part of the space.

Everyone is welcome to take part, whether attending individually or as part of a group.

The workshops are open, informal and designed to encourage participation from people of all ages and backgrounds.
