We’re very proud to share that Mei Loci has been named Best Landscape Architecture Practice (10 Employees or Fewer) at the 2026 Pro Landscaper Awards in London.
For our studio, the award marks a special moment after 14 years in practice. Founded in 2012, Mei Loci has grown from a small local practice into a B Corp certified landscape architecture studio working across the UK and internationally on projects spanning public realm, community spaces, housing, education and heritage landscapes.
The Pro Landscaper Awards celebrate excellence across the landscaping industry, recognising practices that demonstrate outstanding design quality, sustainability, project delivery and client impact. The judging panel included current Landscape Institute President Caroline Gohler and President Elect Dr Saira Ali.
The judges described Mei Loci as: “An outstanding values-led practice with exceptional commitment to people.” They also praised the studio’s: “Strong leadership, industry engagement and a clear commitment to environmental responsibility.”
As a practice, we’ve always believed that the best landscapes emerge from a strong understanding of place, people and ecology. Whether working in urban public realm, sensitive heritage settings or new community spaces, our focus remains the same: creating landscapes that feel grounded, lasting and genuinely useful to the people who inhabit them.
Director Patricia Hawes said: “We’re incredibly proud for our team to receive this recognition. We’d also like to congratulate the other shortlisted practices in the category – EPD Landscape, Hill-Wood & Co Kent Ltd, and Studio Bosk Ltd – and all the winners across all categories. It was a brilliant celebration of the landscape profession and the people shaping it.
