We’ve been a little quieton the news and social media recently, but as 2025 draws to a close, we’ve been reflecting on what has been a year of real change and momentum at Mei Loci.
One of our biggest milestones has been moving into our fantastic new studio in the heart of Truro. It already feels like home, and we’re looking forward to sharing more about the space and our new shared studio in the new year, so stay tuned.
We’ve also seen some changes within the team. We welcomed Joss back to Mei Loci after a few years working away and completing his Master’s, and we are delighted to welcome Victoria, who has quickly become an integral part of the team as our new Studio Administrator.
Throughout 2025, we’ve been lucky to work on a diverse and rewarding range of projects. We’ve worked closely with towns, parishes, and local communities to develop sports and open space masterplans across the county, while continuing our close collaboration with Cornwall Council on major environmental and regeneration projects, including the White River Vision and the Making Space for Sand projects at Polzeath and St Gothian Sands. Alongside this, we’ve delivered LVIA and EIA work for new developments across the South West.
We’ve also seen work completed on site at St Anthony’s Gardens in Penzance for Treveth, Phase 1 of the historic Holy Trinity Church in St Austell, and a new pocket park in Truro, as well as a number of private gardens. Two new parks at Connor Downs and Richmond Gardens, St Ives, are also now nearing completion.
2025 also marked the completion of our first full year as a B Corp, an important milestone for the practice. You can read our first impact assessment here: B-Corp Impact Assessment. Our work remains grounded in Cornwall’s coastal and natural landscapes, with a continued focus on heritage, environment, and community. Alongside this, we’re proud to continue working with charities to create gardens and landscapes that give back and deliver lasting social and environmental value. Earlier this year we worked with The Wave Project to deliver their show garden for the Royal Cornwall Show, and we’re excited to be collaborating with the fantastic local charities Mount Edgcumbe Hospice and St Petroc’s next year on a number of beautiful landscape masterplanning projects.
