Exciting Revamp Plans for Boscawen Park Unveiled

The new revitalisation plans aim to enhance these facilities for people of all ages and abilities, promoting access to nature and greenspace for fitness, recreation, and general health and wellbeing for all.

Created in the late 1880s and gifted to Truro by Kathleen Viscountess Falmouth in 1907, for the people of  Truro, Boscawen Park has long been a beloved hub for recreation and sports for the local community, and visitors alike.

Key priorities include:

  • Re-establishing the park as a hub for activity and wellbeing, supporting both formal and informal sports and fitness activities.
  • Celebrating the riverside location by improving sustainable transport access, including new cycle routes, footpaths, and integration with the ‘Truro Loops.’
  • Upgrading sports facilities with new changing rooms, better drainage for grass pitches, and adding 3G pitch facilities.
  • Preserving and enhancing the park’s historic landscape with refreshed planting and reinstated parkland elements.
  • Expanding the play space with more green and natural play opportunities.
